An Inspiring Morning at Be Inspired

This past Saturday I spent a really lovely morning with the ladies from Be Inspired at one of their workshops. I did their Colour Play workshop, which involved getting a cute little box of 20 sample Stylecraft Special DK yarns and learning to make a small solid Granny Square. These can then be used to plan your colour recipe for your next project...so clever!!! It was a great way to have some fun playing with the gorgeous Stylecraft colours, learn a new crochet pattern, as well as meeting some new crocheting friends!

The ladies behind Be Inspired - Chantal, Julie and Raedene - have created a fun and fresh space where you can't help but feel...well...Inspired! They offer a variety of workshops, catering to beginners as well as to the more advanced and adventurous crocheter. They are really great teachers - which is not something everyone can be good at! Imparting your skill and knowledge in a clear and understandable way can be difficult, but Julie, Chantal and Raedene are excellent teachers! I was not only taught how to crochet this cute little square, but I also left with an understanding of how to actually read a pattern - both the written version and the diagram!

I would highly recommend doing one of the Be Inspired workshops, they are great fun! You can also visit their shop where they have a rainbow selection of beautiful yarns (including the largest selection of Stylecraft Special DK in KZN) as well as being the only local stockists of the exquisite Nurturing Fibre yarns! The Be Inspired motto says it all:

"We are here to inspire you to create and to find the joy and fulfilment in making life more beautiful."
