Colouring isn't just for children anymore!

My favourite thing to do when I was at school was to colour in! I wasn’t ever too excited about doing my homework (who ever was!), but all my worksheets were beautifully and brightly coloured in!

I’m so excited that adult colouring is now a thing! We’re all allowed to colour in again…Hooray!!! There are some really beautiful adult colouring books and posters now available, but definitely one of my favourites are the books by Johanna Basford. Probably her most well known one is “Secret Garden, an Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book”, but there is also “Enchanted Forest, an Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book”. I don’t have one yet, but my birthday is coming up soon and I’m hoping to get one…hint hint!

To celebrate the reveal of the cover of Johanna’s soon to be released new book, “Lost Ocean, an Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book”, she is giving away a beautiful illustration for you to download, print and colour in!

I’ve printed mine out on a thickish cardstock and have been having a wonderful time colouring it in. It’s a great way to de-stress and simply be in a mindful space for a few moments.

Some of my other favourite colouring pages I’ve found are:
- The lovely Mandala Coloring Pages from Meraki Coloring Design
- Sweet William Colouring Book from the lovely Cotton Candi
- The Flowery Creations of Emerlye Arts
- And the great locally designed colouring poster by You Biscuit

    1. The ones I used here, that are pictured in this post, were some that I bought when I was in England. I think they are the WHSmith brand. But I also love using Staedtler or Lyra...any really. I like to use Aquarell type pencil crayons (the ones you can add water to) as they are usually a bit softer and I find them easier to work with :)
